Anthony Lovenheim Irwin, PhD
TRAVEL LIAISON
Anthony has been living, working, and researching abroad since 2006. He is a specialist in Thai Buddhism, history, and culture. He has written widely on the importance of crafting and construction in religious practice. He has led study abroad courses in Thailand, served as an advisor for the Thailand Biennale, numerous grants and accolades for his work. Beyond all that, through, he loves traveling with people and exploring the richness of global culture, art, and craft with friends and family.

Taweesak Molsawat
TOUR OPERATOR
Taweesak is an artist, designer, educator, academic researcher and creative consultant based in Bangkok, Thailand conducting exhibitions, performances, lectures and workshops nationally and internationally. He has taught metalsmithing and art around the world, and mounted numerous exhibitions and performances. He has run workshops with craftpeople throughout Thailand, and conducted deep research on traditional craft practices with craft communities across Asia. He is a registered Tour guide with the Thai Tourist Authority, and the founder of Oops+, LDT.

Amelia Toelke
CRAFT EDUCATOR
Amelia Toelke does everything from fun and fabulous jewelry to large public-art installation. Whether she’s soldering silver chain into hip hoop earrings or hanging giant oversized buttons on the sides of skyscrapers to celebrate women’s suffrage, Amelia is constantly revealing the ways that jewelry and adornment color our lives. She has done residencies around the world and taught at some of the country’s most celebrated craft schools and universities. She is an invaluable assets the Craft Abroad team, working to bravely bring us into the forefront of craft’s ever-evolving future, and beyond!
